One designer. Two looks. Define the signature style of Miss Aetheris Nigeria 2027.
Overview
This competition selects one designer to create both the Introduction Outfit and Fitness Outfit worn by Miss Aetheris Nigeria delegates — ensuring a consistent, signature national identity across the stage.
Eligibility
- • Open to designers resident in or holding Nigerian citizenship, aged 18 or older
- • AI-generated designs are not permitted
- • Entrant must certify the work is original and human-made by submitting a video showcasing the design process
Design Requirements — Introduction Outfit
- • Modern, structured, tailored silhouette reflecting elegance and leadership
- • Fabric must support movement for a choreographed opening sequence
Fitness Outfit Design Brief
The fitness outfit should reflect the Miss Aetheris philosophy of Beauty • Health • Purpose, combining athletic functionality with elegance.
Design Requirements
The outfit must include:
- • A fitted athletic top (designer's choice of style)
- • A skort (preferred) or tailored athletic shorts
- • Comfortable, stage-ready, and movement-friendly design
The outfit must not include:
- • Bikinis
- • Bra-top only designs
- • High-cut swimwear
- • Transparent fabrics
- • Excessively revealing cuts
- • Accessories that could pose a safety risk during movement, such as sharp embellishments
Preferred Bottom Garment
Designers are strongly encouraged to develop their concepts using either:
- • An elegant athletic skort (preferred)
- • Tailored high-waisted athletic shorts
Alternative bottom garments or full garments may be considered only where they clearly align with the Miss Aetheris brand philosophy.
Designers Are Encouraged to Explore
- • Innovative silhouettes
- • Luxury sportswear aesthetics
- • Premium fabrics
- • Elegant colour blocking
- • Tasteful Nigerian-inspired details (optional)
- • Subtle incorporation of the Miss Aetheris brand identity
Shared Requirements
- • Must use the official Miss Aetheris palette
- • Costume changes achievable within 45 seconds backstage
- • Original work only — no derivation from another designer's protected work
Submission Requirements
- • Sketches for both looks
- • A process video showing the design and creation of both outfits (mandatory proof of authenticity)
- • Tech-pack layout showing sizing scalability for Nigerian delegates
- • Photos should be submitted in addition to, but not in place of, the video
Prize & Recognition
- • ₦300,000 cash prize
- • Official title: “Official Fashion Designer of Miss Aetheris Nigeria 2027”
- • Certificate of Achievement
- • Media feature across Miss Aetheris Nigeria platforms
- • Credit in the official programme and website
- • Invitation to attend the finale (Provsion of Accommodation Only)
- • Professional photos/videos of designs for portfolio use
